yeahh same and i always find that makes people talk less if your just talking about feeling ill then that leads to them saying bye cos their board. I have a thing about feeling my temperature constantly and whenever im sick now because of this phobia being very severe for me makes my vision blur and my heart beat really fast because of the panic. So i check constantly on them too.

ermm about 6 months i think, when norovirus was going around i got that. I think it was when i joined this. I was almost, today. I thought i was about to be sick cos my vision went really blurry and i could hardly walk but that was actually just because of loss of blood. Its not as bad as it sounds Laughing I had to have a blood test but they needed a lot of blood so they took all the blood out of my one arm meaning that that left not much in my head due to my heart focusing on my arm. I almost passed out, luckily there was a toilet opposite for me to rest in. how about you?

You caught THE BUG?!?!? Gah u poor thing!!

Nd aaah beloved blood tests lol ...tbh after my first blood test a few months ago I feared it would have similar effect, but they didn't take that much.

I was sick some time last summer...but there was no build up. I was laying in bed feeling ill so I went downstairs to get some ibuprofen...and I sat down nd was all of a sudden dizzy and like '' wait...OMG!!!'' so I dashed to the bathroom nd afterwards I was like '' woah...i really wasnt expecting that!''

Its still horrible but i do love it so much when its like that where its so sudden you dont have time to get worked up, cos i hate it when you try s hard all night not to be sick then it happens anyway. Its such a disappointment and it makes you feel so much worse.

Yeeeah it's like '' I may as well have let myself be sick earlier and then gone to sleep!''

I refuse to eat before bed or a huge meal close to bed time coz it means going to bed feeling full and then i dunno if my food is gona bother digesting or if it's gona come back up again.

Aww sucks!

I always order teeny, non-risky dishes. I swear some people think I have an eating disorder!

i am new on this site but i am not knew to this condition (right now i am trying to distract myself from feeling sick) but i really must address this issue about an eating disorder.
I knew i was emetophobic at age 9 and am now 22 so its been a while. At age 12 i was diagnosed anorexic, as like most people in here i thought that if i didnt eat much i wouldnt be sick. Please listen when i say this is not the way to go, be safe!!! i survived on two rich tea biscuits and one slice of plain brown bread a day, i was 12 years old and just under 5 stone and very very very very ill.

Hi Lulu....I know ecatly where you're coming from. My emetophobia started as a young child and I ended up hating the feeling of being full...I guess because there was more chance of me feeling or being sick???

Because I hated that feeling so much, I used to stick to only food I knew...that was mainly cereal. However as time went on my appetite literally just completely went and my parents ended up taking me to the doctors. I wasn't anorexic, and thankfully was too young to give a s*** about how I looked, but it was when I realised how little I was compared to everyone else that I knew I had to do something about it. At least none of us could become bulimic!!!

exactly rosie, none of us will become bulimic but being anorexic is just as bad, dont wanna gross u all out but the subject is so close to my heart i cant bear someone else goin through all that.

i have brittle bones, didnt start my periods until i was 18!!!!!!! have allready been told i have low feritlity and i am dibaetic all because i was anorexic, its not the way to go.

imagine trying to battle emetophobia and all that rubbish, its not good.

must be doing something right tho, have been sick in 13years.
